Each of my Shoe benches is individually handmade to order in my Kent workshop, crafted to your desired dimensions to complement your interior beautifully. Designed with functionality and rustic charm in mind, these benches are finished to a high standard and coated with renowned Briwax for a rich, enduring finish full of character perfect for taking pride of place in any room.
Standard Sizing & Storage Options
The standard depth of the bench in the pictures is 29cm with a height of 52cm, ideal for storing adult shoes on the upper shelf and ankle boots below.
If you require a section for boot welly storage, I can include a 28cm Internal width and a 43cm internal height compartment at no extra cost. Just leave a note in the personalisation field when ordering.
Please ensure your boots will fit the 43cm internal height, this height can be extended, just let me know
Craftsmanship & Materials
My benches are crafted to be both sturdy and comfortable, ideal for sitting while putting on your shoes with ease. Each piece is made from premium, joinery-grade square planed timber, never scaffold boards, reclaimed wood, or low-quality pressure-treated alternatives.
I carefully select slow-grown, furniture-grade kiln-dried redwood for every build. This ensures exceptional stability, durability, and a refined finish resisting warping, cracking, and splitting over time.
The top and sides are from solid 5cm-thick timber, providing exceptional strength and a substantial, high-quality feel. Each shelf is carefully rebated into the frame, enhancing structural integrity and ensuring long-term durability.
Units are all fully assembled using glue, dowels, and screws for robustness.
A cut out for skirting boards can be added at no extra cost, just let me know.
